Synopsis:

The adventures of Moka Mera and Atlas show children that everything doesn’t always work out as planned, and that’s okay. Mistakes teach us what doesn't work and encourage us to create new ways of thinking and doing.

Moka Mera, the little monster, and Atlas the shark live in an ecological self-sufficient tree hut on the outskirts of a small village. The path to the village weaves by their small garden where they grow vegetables. Sometimes their friends from nearby come for visits. Moka Mera is full of mischief. She is an extrovert who seeks challenges and is always up for adventures and silly things. She does things fast, before thinking. Atlas is calmer. He is thoughtful, thinks before he acts, clever, and a bit careful – but still curious about things. In each episode, the two friends face tricky situations, often created by themselves while making all sorts of mistakes and mishaps. Once the kite gets stuck in the tree. Moka Mera is good at climbing. Atlas can’t go up – it's not easy for sharks to climb trees. When Atlas manages to get up they loosen the kite from the tree together. Suddenly Moka Mera is afraid of coming down.

Through trials and many errors, they eventually sort things out and find a solution, based on their strengths. They always help each other and learn many new things from each other on their adventures.

The series consists of 26 different episodes, with a considerable potential to create more stories. A teaser is available, please contact info@moilo.fi for further information.

Curriculum

The series is about teaching young children that making mistakes is not a big issue - you just have to solve them somehow, and you’ll learn from it. When having difficulties, try again! A mistake is always an opportunity to learn, to make things different, or to find new solutions.
